Sending an act their times and details, and giving them a page they can read without an account.
The advance is the email thread this replaces: load-in, soundcheck, doors, stage time, what the room provides, what they should bring, where to park, and who to find on the night.
Filling it in and sending it are separate on purpose. An advance gets answered over three weeks as things get decided, and an act who received four half-written versions would stop reading them. Nothing reaches anybody until you send it.
A band with an account here reads all this on their own gig page. Most acts most rooms book do not have one — so once you have sent the advance you can make them a link to a page for that one date.
The link is the credential, like the calendar feeds. It only shows once, when you make it, so copy it then. Making a new one kills the old one, and that is the only way to turn a link off.
No money at all — not the fee, not the deal, not what the night took. A day sheet gets forwarded to a drummer and a driver, and forwarding it should not tell them what the act is being paid. The fee is on the booking confirmation instead, which is a separate document with its own link.
They also never see your own half of the door list. Those are other people's names.
The link stops working a fortnight after the show. It carries names, and a link to a night that happened last year has nothing left to be useful for.
