Tonight, the door list, walk-up sales and settling up — the parts you do standing on your feet.
Everything about a show is somewhere in here, and at seven o'clock with a queue forming nobody has the patience to go and find it. Tonight is the screen for that moment.
It lists what is on across every room you run, with the load-in and doors times, who is rostered, how the door list is going and whether the night has been settled. Open one and you get the screen for running it.
Names you or the act put on the door. Tick each one as they arrive — the whole row is the button, so it works with a thumb.
Ticking is what matters, not the list. A list of forty names where eleven turned up is eleven comps, and using the length of the list instead would overstate them on every act who puts people on the door. If a party of four turns up as two, tap Part and say how many.
If nobody gets ticked in, the comps figure comes out as zero and every per-head number for that night is wrong for it. The night will tell you the door has not been worked.
On a ticketed night there are buttons for one, two or four at a time at whatever tonight costs. Each tap records a walk-up and adds it to the door, exactly as though you had typed it in at the desk afterwards.
Walk-ups are never credited to an act. Nobody in particular brought someone who just turned up, and counting them would flatter whoever happened to be playing.
The people rostered on, with a button to call them. If nobody is rostered on a show night, it says so loudly, because that is the one thing worth knowing from the door.

Once a night is settled the door list is fixed as it was, and so are the tickets. Marking someone as paid still works — settling the night and handing over the money are different moments.
