Gigs

Track a booking from first enquiry through to played, and see who is actually turning up.

A gig moves through four states, and the status is what tells the band whether a date is real yet.

  • Enquiry — someone has asked, nothing is agreed.
  • Confirmed — the date is on. This is what the band should plan around.
  • Completed — it happened.
  • Cancelled — it is not happening.

RSVPs and the lineup are different things

This trips people up more than anything else in the app. An RSVP is what a member says about themselves. The lineup is what the owner decides. They are tracked separately on purpose.

  • RSVP — each member answers yes, no, or maybe for themselves.
  • Lineup — the owner's roster of who is actually playing this gig.
  • A new gig's lineup starts as every current regular member.
  • The owner can swap anyone out per gig, for example to bring in a sub.

What else hangs off a gig

  • A venue, from your band's venue book.
  • An optional set list.
  • Times, outfit notes, and free-text notes.
  • Payments and mileage, once it has been played.

Moving a gig to Confirmed emails the people in its lineup — not the whole band, so someone left off the lineup will not hear about it.
