Representing a venue

A booking agent can be approved to work a venue's calendar without owning its listing. This is representation, and it is deliberately not a claim.

• It is not exclusive — a venue can be represented by several agents.
• It sits alongside any owner, who keeps booking their own room.
• It works for venues nobody has claimed, which is largely the point.

Asking to represent a venue

1. Find the venue from Book for a venue in your sidebar.
2. Request representation and agree to the attestation.
3. Wait for approval. Every request starts pending — attesting is not the same as granting yourself access.
4. Once approved, the venue appears in your sidebar and you can work its calendar.

If the venue is not listed yet, you can submit it and request to represent it in one step.

What you are certifying

The attestation says that the venue has authorised you to book shows on its behalf, and that you will honour the bookings you make. You are not claiming the listing: its owner stays responsible for its details and can end your representation at any time. Misrepresenting the relationship can cost you the representation and the account.

Who approves it

• If the venue is claimed, its owner decides — it is their room.
• If nobody has claimed it, an admin decides, because there is nobody to ask.

Representation does not depend on the venue owner paying for booking, or on the venue having an owner at all. Your access is yours.
